Remembering with twinklings and twinges...I love the sound and movement she wraps her reader in. I'm embarrassed to admit I'm not familiar with Gwendolyn Brooks-so happy day for me I can experience her for the first time. Time to peruse the used book store in hopes of uncovering this treasure-thank you for sharing.
Thanks, Kim. A lovely stillness after a hectic day! I especially loved "The Crazy Woman".

Rose,
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome. She was the first African American female to win a Pulitzer prize for poetry. I am so happy you discovered her.
Thanks,
Kim
