Norman Mailer and Gore Vidal Feud on the Dick Cavett Show

This is one of the best exchanges between writers. Gore Vidal's views were not mine, but I am utterly amazed at his courage, body of work, his unwavering ability to be himself, and his self-described debauchery. He took many risks and suffered for  some of them. In this exchange, he looks like the cooler head.
